This shape of cloisonne is a replica of a Shang Dynasty bronzeware which dates back 3000 years. The pattern is typical of the grain on bronzes of that period, Chinese call this grain 'Tao Tie Wen' , which means power and serenity. This pot was usually used as a fish bowl.
