Cloisonne vase

A technique of manufacturing by successive engraving and firing, the cloisonné appeared during the Ming dynasty. Enamel is an article that requires a long and precise manufacturing technique, which makes it expensive. Only the imperial family or very wealthy families were lucky enough to have them. Chinese blue cloisonne enamels are called"Jing Tai " which was name of an Emperor of the Ming dynasty. Blue remained the only color until the Qing dynasty.
